HPV (human papillomavirus) is the most common sexually transmitted disease. There are multiple types of HPV; nearly all women and men catch at least one type of HPV infection throughout their lives. Most HPV infections vanish by themselves at some point; however, according to the type of HPV, the infection may result in diseases ranging from benign lesions to malignant tumors (cancer).

STDs are extremely common, yet they are not publicly discussed enough. Numberless campaigns touch on safe sex and the use of condoms, but, many fail to mention STDs as well as their preventions and outcomes. Sex is a natural act, and everyone should be knowledgeable of the risks and precautions. Access to trustworthy information about an indecent yet normal topic should therefore be spread to improve mental and physical health.

Inspired by discussions of unknowledgeable young adults about the STD and the existence of its preventative vaccine, Prevent HPV. Get the Vaccine campaign raises awareness of HPV’s severe consequences with the intention of causing disturbance, initiating questioning regarding vaccination status, and ultimately, leading the audience to the HPV vaccine dosage.

Prevent HPV. Get the Vaccine

  • Brand Identity (including Visual Identity + Brand Voice), Website Design & Copy

  • Designed a campaign for the social cause of preventing HPV through precise and appropriate visual communication with the end goal of generating a call to action within the audience. Designed 2D assets, 3D applications, the user interface for the website, and the overall campaign book.

  • Extensive research was done in order to understand the social issue and later filter the correct audience. After the audience was identified and the concept was framed, visual choices were sketched. Numerous iterations were done in achieving the most advantageous aesthetic, angle & tone, and overall strategy that spoke to the Gen Z audience and supported the message.

The campaign explores the relationship between content and context. Every application had to be thoroughly reviewed to determine if its functionality aligned with the subject of matter.
