The Village

The Village is a women-owned meal delivery service tailored for high-end private clients in New York City. It originated from the chef's dedication to seasonality and culinary adaptability, ensuring the provision of healthy, organic, and locally sourced meals for families or busy clients who may lack the time for nourishing meals.

  • Met with the owners to grasp the design specifications and overall business concept, aiming to create a comprehensive brand identity document. This document encompasses language, mission statement, target audience, and brand persona, detailing brand values, preferences, and personality traits as the foundation for visual representation.

    Given that the owners are based in Brooklyn, they expressed a desire for the brand's appearance to reflect their hometown. To achieve this, we developed a Pinterest mood board highlighting various elements in Brooklyn such as brands, places, corners, streets, and looks that embody the raw and old-school aesthetic of the area. Additionally, a key emphasis was placed on communicating the business as women-owned.

    After presenting several proposals, we collectively favored a vintage Italian aesthetic, incorporating red and green hues alongside cream and old tones to underscore The Village's commitment to natural and seasonal eating. The chosen logo design aims for a stamped effect with its shape, while also incorporating tile-like squares reminiscent of the kitchen tiles found in Brooklyn.
